SFA executes 100 inspections a day: DG

Director General Sindh Food Authority Agha Fakhar Hussain has visited Malir Press Club on Monday to provide information regarding food safety and hygiene and consumer rights. On this occasion President Malir Press club Murtaza Chandio, General Secretary Hanif Soomoro, senior journalists were also present. He said that people get sick due to consumption of unhygienic food. Food hygiene is to be endured for preventing foodborne illness.DG SFA Agha Fakhar Hussain said that Sindh Food authority is working on scientific principles to ensure the entire food chain to provide hygienic food.

A detailed briefing was provided upon working of SFA. More than 100 inspections are being carried out per day on a regular basis and in four months 3500 food handlers and 500 staff of SFA have been trained. It was informed that MoUs have also been signed with all universities of Sindh.
