The senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that all the promises and claims made in recent past by the current rulers were getting proved wrong and unfulfilled.
Talking to the newsmen at the residence of senior local PPP stalwart Malik Naseer Awan here on Sunday night Qamar Zaman said that during the last one and a half year the common people in Pakistan had fully seen the real and cruel faces of the present rulers and had lost all hope of any betterment in the situation.
He said that all the concerned national and international agencies and institutions had expressed concern over the poor economic condition of the country but the rulers were living in the fool’s paradise as they had no sense of the graveness of the situation. Qamar blamed that the current rulers had a favorite practice of blaming the past governments for the poor economic condition of Pakistan even after one and a half year because the themselves had no guts or abilities and willingness to do any good for the national economy.
He said that PPP came to power in 1988, 1993 and 2008 and every time the economic and social condition of the country was miserable but it had tries to improve the condition instead of making complaints or blaming the past governments. He said that the past government from 2013 to 2018 had received loans worth 5000 billion rupees but quite ironically the current rulers had obtained over 12000 billion rupees as loan which was quite contrary to their previous big claims.
He charged that the current rulers had cheated the nation by wrongly blaming that US $ 200 billion which were allegedly looted from the country and were present in foreign banks. Qama Zaman Kaira said that the rulers must show courage and heart and admit their blunder in that regard.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan in the past used to praise media for promoting his agenda but quite ironically now he was urging the masses to stop watching television and reading newspapers because they were painting the real and sad situation of his government at present.
He said that all the allies of the government too were unsatisfied by it like the millions of common people. Qamar Zaman Kair vowed that PPP would soon launch a nation wide movement against the current rulers with the support from all other opposition parties. Zarra Mehmood Malik advocate, city president PPP Azhar Ali Diyal, city general secretary PPP Ali Naseer Malik, Malik Tahir Akhtar Awan, Malik Arif, Javed happey Butt and a number of PPP local leaders and workers were also present.
