Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Communication & Works and Irrigation, Ahmad Jan Khan stressed the need for responsible water management and sustainable measures to protect this vital resource for future generations in light of climate change effects. The workshop was organized in collaboration with UK Aid and the International Water Management Institute.
He also pointed out that global warming and environmental changes pose significant threats to water resources, making it imperative for our country to adequately prepare to combat these challenges. He highlighted that the survival of humans and other creatures depends on the blessing of water, and it is our responsibility to use this gift from Allah Almighty wisely. Islam also teaches us to use water properly and avoid waste. During the workshop, Muhammad Tahir, Secretary of Irrigation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Ghulam Ishaq, Chief Engineer, also delivered speeches.
