Ex-Member National Assembly (MNA) and prominent provincial leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh, Dr. Abdul Wahid Soomro has emphasized the urgent need for timely and transparent elections to address the country’s financial instability and steer it away from constitutional, financial, and political crises.
Speaking at Thatta Press Club, Dr. Soomro highlighted that despite the PPP government’s efforts to create job opportunities and alleviate poverty, the nation continues to grapple with crippling inflation.
Expressing his concerns, he lamented the controversial transformation of Thatta’s lands into the Jamshoro district, involving alterations to revenue records and their sale with the apparent collusion of revenue officials. Dr. Soomro called upon the judiciary to take action against these irregularities.—Khuda Bux Brohi
