The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was gearing up to hold a series of rallies in Lahore as part of its mobilization efforts in preparation for the expected return of party supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan next month, the sources privy to the development told Pakistan Observer on Saturday. The sources said that the PML-N was making a strategic plan including seven rallies in different constituencies in Lahore in connection with preparation for Nawaz Sharif’s welcome. The rallies, they said would be taken out in NA-123, NA-124, NA-125, NA-127, NA-128, NA-128, and NA-136 constituencies, and all the rallies were set to take place between October 1 and October 8.

PML-N Senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz is slated to address these rallies, aiming to energize party workers and supporters. Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently reaffirmed that there have been no alterations to the travel arrangements for his brother and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, who is expected to touch down in Pakistan on October 21.

The abrupt return of Shehbaz Sharif to London shortly after his brief visit to Pakistan had fueled speculations about potential changes in Nawaz Sharif’s travel itinerary. The insiders shed light on a consultation meeting held in London, attended by several high-ranking PML-N leaders, including Maryam Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, AbidSher Ali, MianJavedLatif, TalalChaudhry, BurjeesTahir, and Sheikh RohailAsghar. Nawaz Sharif, during the meeting, they said, emphasized that a conspiracy in 2017 had pushed Pakistan, a nation with immense potential, to the brink of destruction. This insight into the party’s strategy and Nawaz Sharif’s impending return caused significant interest and attention among political observers and the public. However, the mystery about Shehbaz Sharif’s abrupt visit to London on Nawaz Sharif’s call is still there. The PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif talked to the media soon after the party meeting in London and tried to downplay the very reason for which he suddenly returned back to London. Nawaz Sharif rejects compromise on his ‘tough political stance’ Meanwhile, the insiders in the PML-N seeking anonymity told Pakistan Observer that Nawaz Sharif once again unequivocally rejected any compromise on his political stance .
