The University of Okara’s (UO) Department of Mathematics has been ranked at 6th position in Pakistan by the Nature Index journal for its groundbreaking research and innovative contributions, becoming the only discipline from the UO to publish in this prestigious journal with a total of 2.00 contribution.
The faculty members including Dr Muhammad Umair Shahzad, Dr Hamood-ur-Rehman and Dr Abdul Malik have been constantly producing high-impact research that has earned them widespread attention and accolades from the global scientific community. Commenting on this feat, the department’s Chairman, Dr Shoiab Saleem, told, “We are particularly proud of our department’s collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to research. Our faculty members regularly collaborate with experts in diverse fields, such as physics, computer science, and engineering, to address some of the most pressing scientific challenges of our time.”
