District Lower South Waziristan at Government High School Wana, a non-Government organization Wana Welfare Association (WAWA) organized a Grand Jirga consisting of nine Tribes of Ahmadzai Wazir. The purpose of convening the Jirga is to take concrete steps to control the situation of water level falling underground in Wana day by day.
There is a need to build small dams to control the water level so that better measures can be taken for this through mutual consultation and the Ahmadzai tribes can be taken into confidence. The political representatives of Lower South Waziristan also participated in this WAWA Grand Jirga. Rehmat Ullah Wazir, President of Wana Welfare Association, addressed this grand jirga consisting of tribal elders, that the survey teams are coming to Wana on Monday for the Feasibility report to protect the district of Lower South Waziristan from drought.
Therefore, the cooperation of the nations and tribes is required to make the environment favourable. On this occasion, members of the nine-member committee of tribe ZaliKhel, Malik Saeed Ullah Wazir, Malik Muhammad Aslam Wazir and Malik Alam Jan Wazir said that the ZaliKhel tribe has unanimously decided that the site of the Small dams wherever the site for the feasibility Report is selected, so, the tribe of ZaliKheil will not have any objection to it, and besides, the tribe of Zali Kheil will not take any commission and the tribe will also provide full protection to the survey teams Apart from this, Malik Shehryar Wazir also assured full cooperation from Khojal Khel tribe.
