Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to start language courses for TEVTA students. In this regard, a ceremony was held at the TEVTA secretariat in which Chairman TEVTA Brig. (R) Muhammad Sajid Khokhar and MD OEC Naseer Khan signed the MoU. The ceremony was attended by Secretary Industries Ehsan Bhutta. As per the MoU, initially, the courses will be offered in four cities including Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Multan, and Gujrat, the scope of courses will be extended later on.
While addressing the ceremony, Chairman TEVTA Brig. (R) Sajid Khokhar said that this course will be helpful for students to avail overseas job opportunities and they can earn handsome amounts. He also asked MD OEC to provide information regarding the demand for skilled manpower so TEVTA can update its curriculum and syllabus accordingly. Secretary Industries Ehsan Bhutta said that the languages will be very beneficial for our skilled labour force and it and 100 percent guarantee of jobs abroad. This will also increase the reserves. MD OEC said that we all are working on a joint venture for Pakistan, which will result positively.
