Traders threaten to start civil disobedience movement

The business community of Abbottabad has indicated to start a civil disobedience movement and also Electricity bills were burnt in the main square of the city. Protests were held across the city and each and every trader business man took part in the protest rally against WAPDA. Like the rest of the country, the business community of Abbottabad also played a drumbeat against WAPDA.

In all the squares and intersections of the city, traders and civil society held strong protests and burnt the huge electricity bills from WAPDA in the market. The biggest rally of the city started from Cantt Plaza under the leadership of All Trade Federation President Saqib Khan, which took the form of a protest procession to Cantt Chowk through the main market.

Where Saqib Khan addressed the protestors and said that today it is a pity that the protest against our own government has brought us to the streets. The elite are getting stronger with every passing day while the poor are getting poorer. We do not have the power to buy food items.
