Monsoon tree plantation campaign inaugurated in Hafizabad

District Election Commissioner Hafizabad Khalid Rasheed has inaugurated monsoon tree plantation campaign at Government Associate College for Women Hafizabad with the cooperation of Sanghat foundation, and DehiTraqqiati Council Hafizabad.

Principal Madam NasreenAkhtar, Deputy Director Social Welfare Aamina Ashraf, prominent social workers Rasheed Ahmad Bhatti, Dr. Nazar Muhammad were also present on the occasion.

Election Commissioner said that in order to combat challenge of climate change and to make the country green and pollution free, tree plantation on war footing is need of the hour and every individual should plant at least one sapling and look after it till become a strong tree.

He said that it was good omen that students of the college were taking keen interest in tree plantation campaign and special seminar would be arranged to highlight importance of vote among people especially the youth. Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner HafizabadUmerFarooqwarraich has visited under construction buildings of University of Hafizabad, District Headquarter Hospital Hafizabad and Museum being completed with the cost of more than Rs.20 billion to review pace of work on ongoing projects and standard of martial being used in the projects. Deputy Director Development Tassawer Abbas, Deputy Director Colleges Muhammad AzharJunjua, CEO Health Dr. Umer Sharif Rathor and officers of buildings department were also accompanied by him.

DC said that district administration is committed to ensure timely and according to specification completion of people welfare development projects so that benefits of government expenditure could reach to people of the district earliest.
