WU Multan, GCU Lahore sign MoU to enhance academic, research cooperation

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Women University Multan and the Govt College Lahore University for cooperation and collaboration in research activities and faculty exchange.The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Uzma Quraishi and Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Ali Zaidi.

On this occasion, VC Prof . Dr Uzma Quraishi said this Memorandum of understanding would lead to exchange of students and faculty and collaboration in joint projects. This linkage is a significant step taken by WUM in promoting higher education .She expressed that academic collaboration can make an important contribution in enhancing higher education in country, if it is delivered effectively. She further said that we need to utilize each other’s experience and educational potential to meet the challenges of the day. VC Prof Dr. Uzma Quraishi also briefed the participants about the 2030 mission vision of the university. She stressed that WUM is keenly striving to promote quality of education to meet- up the international standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi said under this MoU we will establish strong collaboration and linkages between WUM and GCU Lahore to enhance quality of education and research. He urged to establish collaboration with Women University in the curriculum development under the umbrella of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and willingness to conduct joint extra-curricular activities of both institutions students societies for their grooming.
