Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Haji Qalandar Khan Lodhi, has said that food department provides subsidized wheat to flour mills so as to give relief to the public by ensuring availability of wheat flour at fixed rates in the market. Qalander Lohdi said flour mills, in any case, must ensure grinding of entire daily subsidized wheat quota so that cheap flour could easily be made available to the public at notified flour dealers established in districts across the province. He stated this during surprise visit to various flour mills and wheat godowns of Peshawar Division the other day. On the occasion of inspection, Minister for Food checked electricity bills of flour mills in the light of daily wheat quota. He said government release subsidized wheat with aim to provide flour at fixed rates.
