Former federal minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal and Six more leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf including Shabbir Sial, Mian Salman Shoaib, Muhammad Ali Khan, Khurram Qureshi, Karamat Ali and Javed Zameer parted ways with the party on Tuesday.

Those who quit the party denounced the May 9 mayhem and took a swipe at the PTI chief for “inciting” the workers. The deserters made it clear that they did not want to be a part of any “extremist” party.

Nazar Muhammad Gondal condemned the events that transpired on May 9. He was very open about leaving the party, adding he didn’t think it was right to attack the institutions.

Slamming the embattled party, he said, “PTI is currently engaging in negative politics, which is not in the interest of the country”.
