The Bank of Punjab (BOP) held a cheque handover ceremony in Karachi as part of its BOP Sadqah Jariyah initiative. The event saw the presence of Mr. Zafar Masud (President & CEO – BOP), Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad (President & CEO – TCF), and senior management representatives from both organizations. BOP’s Sadqah Jariyah initiative offers donation collection services to support The Citizen’s Foundation (TCF) and their impactful education programs.
BOP facilitates the collection of donations through various physical and digital channels, including the Roshan Digital Account platform. The donations are dedicated to initiatives focused on promoting education for girls, individuals with disabilities, and adult female literacy. BOP goes beyond fund collection by matching customer and staff donations and further contributes funds to support TCF in promoting literacy.
The collaboration between BOP and TCF highlights BOP’s commitment to social betterment and its belief that education is a fundamental right. This partnership aims to create a lasting impact in the field of education, reflecting BOP’s motto of “Har Fard Ka Khayal.”
During the ceremony, Mr. Zafar Masud emphasized that BOP Sadqah Jariyah enables customers to donate Zakat and Sadaqat to various causes through BOP channels, supporting education, female literacy programs with TCF, breast cancer treatment at Pink Ribbon, and healthcare for underprivileged patients at The Indus Hospital. BOP covers all donation fees and charges and matches all donations received per month.
Syed Asaad Ayub Ahmad expressed TCF’s commitment to providing quality education to underprivileged children and their delight in collaborating with BOP.
