Afrooz Shah, a resident of Akora Khattak Nowshera, has said that he is a government school teacher. Yesterday, Kifayat Shah, son of Abdullah Shah, along with other associates, attacked his ancestral house, Raffayatabad, Akora, Khattak, Nowshera and held the family hostage for 12 hours. While holding a press conference at Mardan Press Club along with his ailing mother, he said that in 2007, he bought a house from his maternal uncle Kifayat Shah, which is in his mother’s name.

Now we want to sell this house, but the buyer who shows interest is driven away by Kifayat Shah by insulting and threatening them. He said that when the party came to see the house yesterday, they started quarreling with them and forcibly locked our house and took the family hostage and ransacked it, while the full amount of my sister’s dowry in the house was stolen. Goods were also stolen. He said that the concerned person already has a criminal record.

Three FIRs have been registered against him in different police stations for the kidnapping of the girl and other crimes. But the police are not laying hands on them due to the fact that the influential and the daughter are in the police force. While taking the support of his wife and daughter, they threaten to file a police case against us. He said that in this regard, he gave requests to DPO Nowshera and SHO of the concerned police station, but no one helped us.
