Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that raising public awareness about safety from cancer disease is the need of the hour.
In his message, the chief minister said that cancer was a fatal disease but treatment can be possible if it was diagnosed at an early stage. There was a shortage of treatment facilities at the government level and keeping in view this construction of new government hospital for cancer patients was the need of the hour, he added.
There was a dire need of working efficiently in this regard and I was trying that the cancer hospital be constructed in Punjab. He expressed the satisfaction that the hospitals like Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital were providing best treatment facilities to the cancer patients.
In fact, the need of such wonderful medical institutions has been increased than before to provide best treatment facilities to the patients and private sector will have to lend a helping hand in this regard, added Usman Buzdar. The chief minister said that the government was striving to improve the treatment facilities for cancer patients and funds were being provided for free medicines to the cancer patients.
‘Today, we reiterate to work with renewed vigour for improving the standard of medical facilities for the cancer patients, conclude the chief minister.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in a traffic accident near Khanqah Dogran. He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved heirs and directed the administration to provide best treatment facilities to the injured.
The fundamental problems of the people of the province were being ignored and neglected, he deplored. New Pakistan was advancing forward under the vibrant leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI government has taken solid measures to get the economy out of quagmire and whirlpool situation, he lauded.
Usman Buzdar further said that all decisions were taken by adopting due consultations in Punjab and there was neither any scope for corruption nor for corrupt elements in new Pakistan. Such a new Pakistan will be carved out under the exemplary leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan where common man will be provided with all facilities, he vowed.
PTI government was spending each and every penny on the welfare of the masses with honesty and deeming it a sacred trust. ‘We will give preference and importance to the suggestions and recommendations of elected representatives for doing Public welfare projects. We want welfare and economic prosperity of each and every citizen’.
“Every backward city is my city and will make every possible endeavor to change it”, he emphasized. Despite passage of decades, the deprivations and backwardness of the masses are very disheartening. We want to bring backward areas at par with the developed cities and development budget will be spent with transparency on merit, he concluded.
