Respect for humanity, violence-free society, religious harmony stressed
A seminar “Protection of Quran and Namoos-e-Risalat entitled “Respect for Humanity, Religious Harmony and Tolerance, Violence-Free Society and Promotion of the Message of Pakistan” was held hare at a local hotel under the auspices of Majlis-e-Ulema Pakistan.
Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Khateeb and Imam of Badshahi Mosque and Chairman Interfaith Council for Peace and Harmony Ambassador of Peace Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad along with eminent scholars and Sheikhs of all schools of thought attended the seminar. While speaking they viewed that Islam is a religion of peace and teaches us peace, brotherhood, love, solidarity, respect for humanity, violence free society and respect for all religions.
They said the protection of the Holy Quran and the honor of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the duty of every Muslim and is a part of our faith. Loving the country is a part of faith. We will not allow anyone else’s agenda to run in Pakistan. While addressing Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad stated peace, brotherhood, love, fraternity, religious harmony and tolerance exist in Pakistan. And to establish an atmosphere of national unity is the responsibility of all of us. Inter-religious and intera religious harmony is the most important need of the hour in Pakistan.
This is everyone’s Pakistan, Islam teaches us to protect the rights of minorities. Islam and the Constitution of Pakistan guarantee the rights of minorities, he added. He stated that no one can be allowed to take the law into their hands under the guise of blasphemy. the extremism shown in the recent incidents and the attempt to take the law into their hands is condemnable. Its the responsibility of the state. He stated message of Pakistan is the great narrative of Pakistan, in the light of which respect for humanity, violence-free society and religious harmony are common.
