A Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom in a fire exchange between security forces and terrorists in general area Ladha of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district on Monday, the military said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement that the army troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location. However, during an intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Muhammad Sabir, a 30-year-old resident of Mansehra district, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat, it added.
Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
A day earlier, two soldiers embraced martyrdom while two terrorists were killed and another two injured in an exchange of fire between Pakistan Army troops and terrorists in the North Waziristan district.
