All passengers entering Pakistan will be required to submit a Health Declaration form which will include contact details and brief travel history as per the instruction issued by Ministry of Health. The submission of those completed form will be necessary for entering Pakistan, said a press release issued by aviation division on Saturday.
Health Declaration Card will be distributed amongst all the passengers in plane in accordance with instructions of government of Pakistan and in view of Novel Coronavirus outbreak, all passengers are advised to fill up the form and handover to Health Staff in the International Arrival Lounge. Non-Compliance shall result in denial of entry to the country. The form contains demographic information of passenger, travel history and health status like issue of fever, cough and shortness of breath.
Ministry of National Food and Research has strongly rebuts the news on social media propagated by private blog regarding the presence of Novel Corona Virus in goats and sheep. A press release issued by the ministry said that the post is fake, baseless, unfounded and scientifically unjustifiable. The virus is not reported in small ruminants so far.
The Ministry of National Food Security and Research discourages the type of misleading propaganda that is affecting the use of mutton, a nutritious and wholesome food, it added. The consumers can use mutton which is safe from Corona Virus, with no likely adverse risk on health from virus , it added.
Meanwhile, it is reported from Bahawalpur that screening of 98 Chinese residing in Bahawalpur district has been completed for coronavirus. This was told by Dr Zakir Ali of District Health Authority (Preventives). He told that coronavirus was not found in any of the Chinese and none of them had travelled to China lately. He said that the screening teams visited the places of residence of Chinese citizens and screened them for the fatal virus.
Dr Zakir Ali further revealed that an isolation ward comprising 8 beds has been set up at Bahawal Victoria Hospital. Furthermore, two filtration counters have also been set up for checking and screening of suspicious patients. Giving further details about screening of Chinese, Dr Zakir Ali told that 9 of them were screened at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur, 27 at CPEC project Uch Sharif, 30 in the Cholistan, 29 at Marjatha and 3 at Police Club.
