Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warrich inaugurated rehabilitation and carpeting work on Hafizabad-Khankhah Dogeran Motorway Interchange, on Thursday. While talking on the occasion, he said that the Punjab government was spending more than 25 billion of rupees to execute different development projects in the district and all departments were motivated to ensure completion of ongoing development schemes at the earliest.
He directed the contractor to complete lying of carpet within a week so that people of the district could get better communicational facilities. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Umder Farooq Wariach held monthly open revenue court at district complex, on Saturday. ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig and other revenue officers were also present in the open court.
DC listened grievances of people and directed the concerned officers to address problems of the people on merit. He said that open revenue courts were being held on first day of every month on the directions of the Chief Secretary and the Chief Minister of the Punjab for resolving problems of people regarding issuance of domicile, Fard etc. under same roof. He also said that open revenue courts were providing easy approach to common people to get relief from revenue officers.
On the other hand District Police Officer Hafizabad Dr. Fahad Ahmad said that protection of property, lives and honours of people is prime duty of police and all resources were being utilized to maintain peace in the district. He expressed these views while visiting District Bar Hafizabad on the invitation of President District Bar Hafizabad Malik Waqas Raza. He listened problems of lawyers and directed his subordinate officers to address grievances of lawyers immediately.
