District Price Control Committee Hafizabad revised prices of essential commodities with consultation of officers of different government departments, representatives of traders and consumers. Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach presided over the meeting.
Flour bag of 10 kg would sell at the rate of Rs. 1170 per bag while flour bag of 20 kg would available at the price of Rs.2340 per bag in the market. Prices of rice, gram, pulses, ghee, beef, mutton, bread, milk etc. was also revised in the meeting. DC warned the traders to implement new price list otherwise heavy fines would be imposed while in case repeated violation, criminal cases would also be get registered with police station.
Meanwhile, ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig visited fruit and vegetable market and witnessed process of auctioning of fruits and vegetables and reviewed quality and prices of fruits and vegetables. He imposed fine of Rs.30000 to shopkeepers to sell fruits and vegetables on arbitrary rates.
Meanwhile officers of district administration Hafizabad are checking standard of cleanliness in the district for providing clean and pleasant atmosphere to citizens. In this connection, ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig and Assistant Commissioner HR and Coordination Ishfaq Ahmad visited different areas of city Hafizabad. They directed the MC officers to improve cleanliness standard in the city and remove all bushes alongside minor (small canal) passing through district complex Hafizabad.
