PTI leaders from South Punjab condemn attack on army installations

PTI leaders from South Punjab have condemned the violent attacks in the country, especially those on army installations, in the wake of ex-premier Imran Khan’s arrest. Around 10 people including Muhammad Ashraf Khan Rind, Muhammad Aown Hameed, Sardar Qaisar Abbas Khan Magsi, Abdul Haye Dasti, Malik Mujtaba Maitla, Niaz Hussain Khan, Mian Alamdar Abbas Qureshi, Sardar Qaisar Abbas Khan Magsi, Muhammad Sajjad and Zaheeruddin Khan spoke to the media at the Multan Press Club.

“We condemned this in the strictest terms. We were never part of this violence and will never be in the future. This is our army,” Zaheeruddin said. “I want to give one message loud and clear: The whole nations stands behind the army. Meanwhile PTI’s Malik Amin Aslam has announced that he is quitting the party. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the party had set out on a “destructive” path, adding that he did not want anything to do with it. “That is why I have decided that today I am leaving PTI,” he said. He added that there was no “pressure” on him. On the other hand The Punjab police have claimed to have arrested eight persons, allegedly involved in the vandalism on May 9, trying to flee PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence.
