Says SC is giving relief to a criminal, a terrorist

Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb censured the Supreme Court on Thursday for providing “relief” to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief and former premier Imran Khan.
“The SC is giving relief to a criminal, a terrorist, a gangster who leads armed groups,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb.
During a press conference, Marriyum claimed that the Supreme Court was supporting those who were burning the country, referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. She said that if someone attacks and put fire to a judge’s residence, no one will give a verdict against that and if they do then their homes will not be spared.
She said the National Accountability Bureau arrested PTI leader Imran Khan in a legal way and added that armed groups were deployed by the PTI under a “well-thought-out conspiracy” to attack government buildings. She also claimed that the PTI leaders had issued instructions to protesters.
Marriyum argued that if relief is given to Imran Khan, then the country would burn. She also accused Imran Khan of theft, claiming he must answer for Rs60 billion. She called for accountability and urged courts to punish those who break the law.
She criticised former chief justice Saqib Nisar for giving Mr Khan the certificate of Sadiq (truthful) and Amin (honest), claiming that this had contributed to the current situation. Marriyum concluded by saying that if courts continued to support criminals, they would be disrespected.
Marriyum Aurangzeb called for severe punishment for all individuals involved in the Al-Qadir Trust case. She emphasised that if Imran Khan would be granted any relief in this case, it would send a message that courts were willing to compromise on justice.
