‘MODENA,’ the Italian-founded consumer electronics brand domiciled in Hong Kong and Indonesia, is poised to make its mark in the Pakistani market.
Indonesia’s Embassy facilitated Modena’s business visit to Lahore. During the visit, Michael Jizhar, Group Executive Vice President of Modena, engaged with potential partners and introduced them to Modena’s extensive line of innovative solutions. He also expressed a strong interest in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan through local partnerships.
“I am genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to introduce Modena’s home and professional appliances to the expansive Pakistani market. Pakistan’s appliances industry is demonstrating remarkable growth, with an impressive output value of $1.1 billion, and we see significant potential for further expansion in this dynamic market,” explained Jizhar.
MODENA, which commands an impressive 71 percent market share in Indonesia alone, is ideally positioned to cater to the needs of the Pakistani market. By offering premium products at competitive prices, MODENA aims to bridge any existing gap in the Pakistani market.
Ambassador Adam M. Tugio commended MODENA’s strategic decision to extend its global footprint into South Asia through collaborations with local partners in Pakistan, stating, “MODENA’s expansion into Pakistan is a testament to the strong cultural and economic ties between our nations. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact Modena’s innovative products will have on the Pakistani market and its role as a gateway to the broader Central Asian region and beyond.”
Established in the 1960s, Modena became one of the foremost manufacturers of freestanding cookers in Italy. In 1981, eyeing the extensive growth of the Asian market, the brand strategically shifted its base of operations to Hong Kong and Indonesia. Today, the company has expanded its reach to various countries, including China, Russia, UAE, Egypt, S. Korea and Australia, by offering distinctive and cutting-edge products such as Free-Zone Induction Hobs and UV SterilWave+ Washing Machines, as well as the AIoT application, Modena Seamless.
