Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman has said that the businessmen are playing an important role in the country’s economy by bringing valuable foreign exchange to the country along with creating employment opportunities.
He was speaking as chief guest at a special convocation organized here on Friday to award the honorary degree (Honoris Causa) of PhD Management to Pakistan’s well-known businessman and philanthropist, SM Parvez, organized by University of Management and Technology (UMT) at Governor House Lahore. The Governor Punjab and Patron UMT Muhammad Balighur Rehman awarded honorary degree of PhD Management to SM Parvez.
Addressing the ceremony, Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that the businessmen are playing an important role in the country’s economy by bringing valuable foreign exchange to the country along with creating employment opportunities.
He said that the role of business community in education and health sector for public welfare is commendable.
He said that SM Pervez has played an important role and contributed in the welfare of the people along with business. He said that we should cooperate with each other in good deeds to bring positive change in the society.
The Governor Punjab while congratulating SM Parvez said that he has played an important role in business and industry as well as humanitarian service and welfare.
He further said that the incumbent government is practically trying to align with international standards so that our youth can compete with developed countries in every field.
The ceremony was also attended by Caretaker Local Government Minister Punjab, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, provincial minister for industries, SM Tanveer, provincial minister for sports Wahab Riaz, provincial minister for Religious Affairs and Auqaf, Syed Azfar Ali Nasir and other ministers, chairman UMT Dr. Ahmad Umar Murad, U. Acting President of MT Lt Gen (Retd) Javed Hasan, Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza, Gohar Ejaz, industrialists and government officials.
