Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has underlined the importance for international community to take credible steps in support of the people of Afghanistan.
She expressed these views during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Indonesia Retno Marsudi on the sidelines of the meeting of Special Representatives on Afghanistan, in Doha.
During the meeting, matters of bilateral and regional interest were discussed. Hina Khar is attending the meeting of Special Envoys on Afghanistan being held May 1-2, 2023 in Doha, Qatar, held under the auspices of the United Nations.
The minister of state will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of other participating countries.
Chaired by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the meeting brings together major international and regional countries to discuss the ongoing situation in Afghanistan with a view towards constructive engagement.
