Punjab Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that revolution of economic development will come by establishing special economic zones in the province. He said that industrialists and investors will be given special incentives and plots on subsidized rates for establishing industrial units in special economic zones.
The provincial minister was presiding over a meeting here at civil secretariat on Monday. Issues regarding the establishment of special economic zones, sales of plots for setting up of industrial units and provision of infrastructure in industrial estates were reviewed in the meeting. Secretary Industries Zafar Iqbal, Chairman PIEDMC Syed Nabeel Hashmi, Addl. Secretary Industry, CEO PIEDMC and concerned officers attended the meeting.
While addressing the meeting, Mian Aslam said that industrial estates equipped with latest infrastructure will be proved a game changer for the development of the province.
