Deputy Commissioner, Abdur Rehman on Wednesday said that 12 lakh bags of free flour were distributed among 4 lakh families in Mardan district in the holy month of Ramadan, he expressed these views while talking to the media. Deputy Commissioner added that only 5,000 bag free bags were remaining in the 12 lakhs quota which is very less as compared to other districts.
He argued that in the beginning of the distribution of free flour bags the district administration faced a lot of problems. He added that when the process of free flour distribution was launched, the district administration established a mega point at the Sports Complex. He added that later on the district administration started distribution on union council and village council level.
He added that with the district administration the VC and UC secretaries also started monitoring the process. He argued that despite several faults the district administration successfully distributed the free floor bags in the district. He added that district administration has established a committee for the removal of encroachments in the district. He added that in this connection he directed all the assistant commissioner (AC) of different tehsil of Mardan district.
He argued that very soon an ant-encroachment campaign will be started in the district. He added that strict action will also be taken against those market and plaza owners who changed the parking places into shops. He argued that he also directed the official to start strict price checking throughout the district. He argued that the district administration is trying it best to provide relief to the masses.
