A boy shot to death his maternal cousin on refusing to elope with him and committed suicide to shot himself in village Laweray, on Wednesday. According to details, Farooq resident of Bhai Pheru was desired to merry her cousin Rubail in village Laweray near Hafizabad allegedly but parents of girl was refused to give her hand to Farooq. On Wednesday, Farooq visited village Laweray in absence of parents of Rubail and tried to entice her cousin Rubail to elope from the village but could not convince her cousin. In disappointment, accused Farooq shot her cousin and later he shot himself on the spot. Both were died on the spot.
Meanwhile special immunization campaign has been launched to save children from 12 different fatal diseases in the district. In order to create awareness among people regarding importance of the immunization campaign, a walk was arranged by the District Health Authority Hafizabad.
