During the holy month of Ramazan, Karachi police have been successful in their operations against criminals. According to the monthly report shared by Additional Inspector General (AIG) Javed Alam, the police have arrested nine murder suspects, 172 suspects allegedly involved in street crimes, and 41 members of 13 gangs involved in motorcycle and car lifting.

In addition, AIG Javed Alam shared his concern about a trend of targeting religious scholars in Karachi to incite the general public. He revealed that the targeted murders were also aided by third-party agencies, and he suspected that agencies from a neighboring country might be involved in creating public disruption.

However, he also announced that three murderers involved in the killings of three eminent scholars in Karachi had been arrested.

Overall, the police have arrested a total of 3,000 suspects during Ramazan operations, and they have recovered 556 weapons. The successful operations against criminals have been praised by the citizens of Karachi, who have been struggling with street crimes and targeted killings for a long time.
