Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that politics and democratic norms have been buried in the Senate election.
Addressing the participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora, he said that the government was happy that it had won but even a child knew that the government had suffered the biggest-ever defeat.
He said that the manner in which the government had managed its victory in the Senate election could not be called a victory.
The JI chief said that the people were now keen to know how the opposition parties would deal their members.
He said that it was high time that the ruling party and the opposition gave up ugly practice and frame strict laws to end horse trading.
The JI chief said that the government and the opposition had no solution for the problems facing the masses. He said the JI was gaining popularity among the masses as it was the only alternative force.—INP
