Pakistan fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, has taken a cheeky jibe at former pacer, Shoaib Akhtar, citing his comments about Babar Azam’s English communication skills.

In an interview with a local media channel, Shaheen was asked about the best quality of Akhtar that he admires the most.

To which the pacer replied, “ He [Akhtar] makes brands very well (Brand ache se banate hain).” This statement was a clear reference to Akhtar’s previous comments about Babar on a local TV channel, where he had remarked that the Pakistan captain needed to work on his communication skills to become a brand in world cricket.

“Cricket is one job and handling media is another job. If you can’t speak, I am sorry but you won’t be able to express yourself on the TV,” Akhtar said.

“I want to openly say this that Babar Azam should be the biggest brand of Pakistan, but why he hasn’t become the biggest brand in Pakistan? Because he can’t speak,” he added.
