Shab-e-Qadr: The Night of blessings
RAMADAN is shadowing us with thousands of blessings, blessings, forgiveness and spiritual satisfaction. It is a great gift and a great reward for humanity from the Creator of the universe, every moment, every hour and every hour is very precious and blessed. Among the blessed nights of Ramadan, there is a blessed and exalted night in which worship is better than the worship of a thousand months, which the Almighty has named in the Holy Qur’an as Shab-e-Qadr.
The Almighty says in Qur’an: Indeed, We began to reveal it (Qur’an) in Shab-e-Qadr and what do you know about Shab-e-Qadr? Shab-e-Qadr is better than a thousand months. (To administer) descend by the order of their Lord. This (night) is security until dawn. In this blessed Surah, Allah has described four main characteristics of the greatness of Shab-e-Qadr (Night of mercy).(1) The revelation of the Qur’an, (2) The revelation of the angels, (3) The night that is better than a thousand months, (4) The whole night of peace and mercy.
It should be clear that this holy night is of such importance and virtue that its one night worship with sincerity is better than 83 years and four months of worship for the people of faith. This is only the minimum limit stated. Allah knows better than thousands of months. The most important reason for achieving Shab-e-Qadr is that the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) informed His Nation about the lives of the people of previous Nations, which were very long. The age of the people is very short, if they want to be equal to them (first nations) in good deeds, it is impossible, so this night was given in compensation for that.
In another tradition, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) mentioned the four Prophets in front of the Companions and said that these gentlemen engaged in the worship of Allah Almighty for 80/80 years and blinked. He did not disobey Allah even for a blink of an eye. At that time, Gabriel appeared in his court and said: O respected Prophet! The people of your Nation are jealous of the eighty years of worship of these previous people, so your Lord has given you better than that and then recited Surah Al-Qadr. On this, the face of the Holy Prophet shone with pure joy. In this way, Allah bestowed a gift like Shab-e-Qadr to Your Nation and made worship in it not eighty-three years but more than eighty-three years and four months. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is very wide and incalculable.
In the Prophetic hadiths, it is ordered to find Shab-e-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. However, the 27th night is more likely to be the night of Qadr. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said about the Shab-e-Qadr, on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th or the last night of Ramadan, whoever prays with faith on that night with the intention of reward all his previous sins are forgiven.
In addition to this, a very important reason is the dispute of concealing it. It is narrated: Once the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) came out of the house to inform about the determination of the Shab-e-Qadr but two men were on the way. They were arguing with each other. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, I came to inform you about the Shab-e-Qadr but due to the fight of so-and-so, it was cancelled.
The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said: Look for Shab-e-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. Since the purpose of I’tikaf is also to look for Shab-e-Qadr, that’s why I’tikaf of these last days was considered Sunnah. The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) was not informed about the determination of this Shab-e-Qadr until Allah Almighty. He used to perform I’tikaf throughout Ramadan to search for it, but when he was informed, he continued to perform I’tikaf only for the last ten days. The twenty-seventh night of Ramadan is the Shab-e-Qadr. This is the opinion of the Islamic scholars.
Shab-e-Qadr is the night of the greatest blessings, mercy, blessings, forgiveness, forgiveness and immense grace and rewards of Allah, then in this blessed night countless people are deprived of the grace of Allah and His forgiveness and forgiveness and may Allah bless them. According to the Holy Hadiths, people who are involved in major sins such as polytheists, drunkards, disobedient to parents, spiteful, enmity with relatives and their Muslim brothers, and unjustly cut ties. That is, repent truly and make a firm commitment and effort not to sin in the future.
Hazrat Aisha (R.A) asked the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H): What is the wazifa of Shab-e-Qadr? Then He said these words: O Allah, You are forgiving and Lover of forgiveness, so forgive me too. Therefore, all the believers should look for the blessed Shab-e-Qadr. On the odd nights, as much as possible, engage in prayer, recitation of the Qur’an, Zikr and glorification. While supplicating, ask Allah Almighty for courage and strength to do good deeds, ask for forgiveness of your sins and pray for yourself, your loved ones, relatives, and friends. And pray for forgiveness for all the deceased. Remember the oppressed Muslims of the entire Islamic world in your prayers. Surely, He is merciful and merciful, forgiving sinners, and listening to the needs of everyone who speaks.
