Ramadan serves us a reminder to help the underprivileged: Malki

In the month of Ramadan we extend support to those who are financially weak and provide them with food and assistance and by this act of kindness we earn Allah’s blessings.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki expressed these views during an Iftar dinner he hosted at a local hotel.
Dignitaries including heads of the Islamic missions, diplomats from other countries, parliamentarians, retired and serving members of the armed personnel, senior officials from the Foreign Office, scholars, members of academia and a large number of the Arab countries’ nationals attended the Iftar dinner.
He highlighted the importance of the holy month of Ramadan and significance of sharing and charity among the Muslims during this month.
About the Saudi-Pak relations, he said Saudi Arabia both the countries share many religious and cultural values and stand by each other in testing times and this bond of friendship between them will further strengthen in the days to come.
Saudi Arabia regards Pakistan an important ally, a brotherly and a long-time friendly nation and the Kingdom supports Pakistan in overcoming the current economic crisis.
They congratulated the Ambassador for making excellent arrangements for the pilgrims during Umra in Ramadan. Muslims from all over the world prefer to perform Umra in the month of Ramadan particularly during the last ten days of the holy month.
On this occasion, Saudi Ambassador Al-Malki while greeting the guests welcomed them to the Iftar dinner. He expressed his gratitude to the large number of guests from almost all walks of life for their presence and held that the event provided an opportunity to strengthen the bond of friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Later, the guests were served with a wide range of Saudi and Pakistani delicacies, including dates, fruit juices, and a variety of savory and sweet dishes.
The guests commended the hospitality and generosity of the Saudi embassy and expressed their gratitude to Saudi Ambassador Al-Malki for hosting a warm and welcoming event. The Iftar dinner is one the prominent annual features hosted by the Saudi embassy besides a series of other events such as distribution of ration, dates and copies of the Holy Quran.
