Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on Monday raised objection on the committee, constituted by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led Sindh government to regularise goths.The Sindh governor penned down a letter to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and raised objection over the committee constituted to regularise goths, noting that all political parties of the province should be part of the committee.
In the letter, Kamran Tessori pointed out the reservations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and non-government organisations (NGOs) in this regard.
The governor stressed the need to ‘close doors of corruption’ related to land acquisition. “[Pakistan People’s Party leaders] Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari are against any kind of corruption or land grabbing”, the letter noted.“The committee should be constituted in a transparent manner”, he wrote, adding that the regularisation committee should be abolished and all stakeholders should be included in it.
