Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has developed a special application “SANS” for smog-related complaints from public institutes and the masses.

The PDMA has started the test run of the ‘SANS’ app after the preparation of its dashboard.

The PDMA has also started the process of providing training to relevant institutions on the use of the ‘SANS’ app.

A special meeting under the Chairmanship of Director Coordination on smog prevention and launching of the ‘SANS’ app was held in Lahore on Monday.

In the meeting, officers of traffic police, transport, Municipal Corporation Lahore (MCL) and other relevant institutions participated.

The meeting was informed that the passwords of the ‘SANS’ app have been provided to the concerned institutions to log into the app.

The PDMA director informed the participants of the meeting that the complaints will be received by the PDMA control room through the ‘SANS’ application and then forwarded to the concerned authorities.
