UE holds conference on ‘Religions and World Peace’

An international Conference on “Religions and World Peace” was held at the main Campus Township, University of Education, and Lahore on March 15, 2023.

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.), while the Director Seerat Chair Ghazi University, DG Khan Prof. Dr. Arshad Muneer Laghari was the chief guest. Director Division of Islamic & Oriental Learning Prof. Dr. Waheed Ur Rehman welcome the participants of the Conference while Conference Focal Person, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Manj briefed the participants regarding Conference objectives.

The conference aimed to discuss the role of religion in promoting peace and harmony in the world. Scholars, religious leaders, and experts from different countries like USA, Australia, Nigeria, Germany, France, South Korea, Gambia and Egypt participated in the conference and shared their thoughts on the subject.
