DC directs all depts to ensure timely service delivery

Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Mansoor Arshad has directed all the departments to ensure the timely delivery of services to the people. He gave these instructions while presiding over a meet-ing held in his office regarding the Right to Services Commission which was attended by assistant com-missioners, DMO of Right to Services and represen-tatives of various departments, including Health, Education, TMOs, Food, Police, RTA, BISC DI Khan, Public Health Engineering, Excise, Labour, Zakat, WSSC and others.

During the meeting, DMO Muhammad Yousaf gave a detailed briefing regarding the performance of the departments and the provision of various services to the people. The deputy commissioner directed that all the departments should ensure the provision of services within the stipulated time period, besides sharing complete details in that regard with the Right to Services. He also directed the departments, which had not yet nominated their focal persons, should nominate focal persons within one day and immediately share the names with the district office of Right to Services. Similarly, the departments, which had shown non-compliance, should improve their services and ensure full implementation of the decisions taken during the meeting.

The DC also directed that all the departments should display the provided banners related to the RTS services at prominent places in their offices so that people not only know about the fixed period related to the services but also they could report any laxity or negligence to the commission.—APP
