Capital Development Authority Chairman (CDA) Noor Ul Amin Mengal on Thursday constituted a committee to regulate the system for the allotment of Kiosk in the federal capital.
The committee members included Director Urban Planning, Deputy Director Master Plan and Deputy Director DMA, said a press release issued here.
The body would identify the locations of Kiosk in the capital city which do not conflict with the master plan of Islamabad.
The Kiosk would be allotted on lease through public auction at the places suggested by the committee.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier there is no mechanism for allotment of the Kiosk. The chief CDA also established a committee for the allotment of open spaces in the federal capital.
The committee members included Director Urban Planning, Director Coordination, Director Estate Management II, Director Enforcement and SP Traffic. This body would identify such places where allotment of open spaces will not cause problems for traffic or pedestrians.
Moreover, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to increase the fine for repeater offenders against water wastage up to Rs. 25,000, as part of a conservation plan to ensure judicious use of the resource during this summer season. “The authority has noted that Islamabad usually faces a shortage of water with a large number of people engaged in wasteful activities, such as washing their cars and allowing water in streets.”
