Turi, Saudi counterpart discuss export of Pakistani manpower

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi with his Saudi counterpart discussed bilateral relations, matters of mutual interest and export of Pakistani manpower to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and vowed to further enhance multilateral cooperation between the both countries.

In a virtual meeting Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Turi with Saudi Minister for Human Resources and Social Development Engineer Ahmed Alrajhi and Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain Vice Minister of Labour discussed employment opportunities for Pakistani skilled manpower in fields of construction, manufacturing, information technology, transportation, skilled labours and others.

Mr. Turi assured to fulfill the requirements of KSA’s Government as per vision of higher authorities of both the countries which is in line with Vision 2030 of KSA Government.

“Pakistan has workforce available under Skilled and Highly Skilled categories i.e. IT, Engineering, Construction, Agriculture, Healthcare, Banking and Hospitality Management etc and requirement of KSA Government for skilled workforce can easily be met in foreseeable future as per their needs”, Federal Minister added.

Mr. Turi appreciated the launch of Skill Verification Programme (SVP) by KSA Government and said that, “it would be helpful in assessing skills set of Pakistani Workforce which is indeed the need of hour”.

Meanwhile, Minister Chaired a meeting of Manpower Export Coordination Committee (MECC).
