Provincial Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon said that today is a darkest day in the history of Pakistan as court orders are being flouted. He added that Islamabad police reached Zaman Park to arrest the Imran Khan but he resisted. The minister reminded that a person who use to advise other not to panic, he himself was in state of panic.
The minister said this while talking to media at Sindh Chief Minister House on Sunday. The minister said no one is above the law and Court orders should be implemented in similar way on weaks and power ful people. The Provincial Information Minister said that when the same Islamabad Police reached the residence of former President Asif Ali Zardari to arrest him, everyone witnessed that former President presented himself self with graceful manner for arrest.
‘The former president showed courage and proved to be a true political leader. He said that the test tube baby, who was artificially brought into politics, his legs are shivering today in the fear of arrest.Sharjeel Inam Memon demanded that the Supreme Court on Sunday should take notice of the situation that the court orders are being flouted as it is an insult to the rule of law.
He added that message is being spread that there is no rule of law in this country. Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Imran Khan used to say that there is a separate law for the rich and the poor, there is a separate law for the poor and the powerful. But today it has been proved that Imran Khan has brought himself in this class, for which there is no law. ‘Had there been a case of arresting a common citizen, the police would have shown such restraint. Would the police treat a poor man like this?’ he added. The minister said that if it was a case of a poor person, the police would have beaten him and thrown him in police mobiles. Whereas Imran Khan is being given VIP treatment.
He asked why PTI workers are being given a call to gather at Zaman Park. Every party poses street power. PTI is flaunting its small street power to violate the law. The provincial minister said that these arrest warrants were not issued in any ideological or political struggle, these arrest warrants were issued in case of theft and robberies in Tousha Khana. Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Supreme Court should immediately take notice of this spectacle and Imran Khan should be arrested. He said that the impression is being established that Imran Khan was always treated like a ‘ ladla ‘ and that ‘ ladla’ was always considered above the law.
The minister said that in fact there was no law for PTI chief Imran Khan in the country, he free to do what he wanted. The minister remarked that it should not be taken as insult to a subordinate court or a lower judiciary. It is a slap on the law of the country and an insult to the whole judiciary. He said that the law of the country and the courts has become helpless in front of this person. He said that If this person is successeded in his plans today, the police will not be able to execute any court orders in future.
He said that this type of anarchy should not prevail in the country and rule of law in the country should be implemented. In response to a question, he said that Pakistan is a strong country; no one can harm this country. No one should threaten that if Imran Khan is arrested, they will harm the country. He said that we all will protect this country.
