PSL8: Rizwan, Rossouw help Multan Sultans set mammoth 211 target against Peshawar Zalmi

MULTAN – Table toppers Multan Sultans buried star-studded Peshawar Zalmi under a mountain of runs, leaving Babar Azam’s led side to chase a mammoth 210 in the fifth game of Pakistan Super League season 8.

The home side set Zalmi a target of 211 runs, courtesy of skipper and flamboyant batter Mohammad Rizwan and power hitter Rilee Rossouw who helped their side to score 210-3 in today’s fixture.

Proteas star batter Rossouw played a knock of 75 runs in 36 balls, with the help of 12 boundaries and two sixers. Skipper displayed A-game with a knock of 66 runs in 42 balls with help of nine boundaries and a six.

Zalmi on Friday won the toss and decided to bowl first against Multan Sultans in the fifth fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Confident Multan Sultans are hovering at the top of the table after two games, and Zalmi stands at third place.
