Following the lenient warning of the Federal Minister of State for Petroleum Division Dr. Musadik Masood Malik threats of artificial shortage of petroleum products is also hovering in the inter provincial bordering sensitive district Attock in line with the other parts of the country.
The District President Petroleum Dealers Association Attock Malik Riasat Ali Sidral on Thursday while defending the shortage has clarified that they were fully committed to ensure supply of the petrol rather the petroleum companies have to fulfil their obligation of required quota despite increase in the price of Rs.35 per liter by the Government.
He said the petroleum marketing companies are hesitant to continue their supply as per demand of their dealers. Malik Riasat Ali Sidral demanded of the Federal Government to settle the reservations of the petroleum dealers to ensure the regular supply to avoid any artificial crisis of the petrol in the district. Meanwhile, the consumers rushed to the filling stations soon as they heard news through media creating widespread rumours of imposing additional increase of petroleum products by the Government in the wake of recent review meeting of IMF.
The consumers of the view that the oil companies are hoarding their stock to earn more and more profit after supply their petroleum products on higher rates of their own choice.
