Dusan Vlahovic marked his return from injury in style helping Juventus down Salernitana away from home.

The Serbian striker scored twice and provided the assist for a third goal by Filip Kostic during his side’s 3-1 win after making his first start since October due to a multitude of injuries.

He needed just 26 minutes to open his account from the penalty spot after when Hans Nicolussi fouled Manuel Locatelli inside the box and the striker easily beat Guillermo Ochoa in Salernitana’s goal.

The 23-year-old turned into an inadvertent provider for Juve’s second goal as his initial shot fell in Kostic’s path who had the simplest of tasks of tapping the ball home on the stroke of halftime.

Just 80 seconds after the break, the game was essentially over as Vlahovic netted his second goal to put his side in complete command.

Salernitana maintained a brief hope of a comeback after Junior Sambia’s cross beat everyone including the Juventus defence with Boulaye Dia somehow getting his outstretched foot to score their first goal in the 51st minute.

But the visitors quickly snuffed out any remaining danger for the rest of the game with only woodwork, which denied goals to Angel di Maria and Moise Kean, keeping the scoreline respectable for the hosts.

The win takes Juventus to 10th in the league table with 26 points with their hefty points deduction penalty still playing a thorn in their side.

Napoli continues to lead the table with 56 points from 21 games.
