140 street crime incidents reported across city during 24 hours

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu presented his report to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on the measures taken to prevent crimes during the last 24 hours.

The Chief Minister of Sindh was told that during the last 24 hours, 140 street crime incidents were reported across the city, including 36 mobile/cash thefts, 8 motorcycles including two cars were stolen, while 9 cars and 85 motorcycles were stolen.

The Chief Minister of Sindh was informed that during the last 24 hours there were 6 encounters between police and criminals in which 10 criminals were arrested in injured condition while 6 street criminals/thieves were arrested red-handed.

The report stated that a total of 129 suspects were arrested, including 24 street criminals/robbers, 21 carlifters, 3 murderers, 15 people for possessing illegal weapons, 23 drug dealers and 155 people involved in other crimes.

The Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad was told that during various raids/operations, the police recovered 25 illegal weapons, 7 kilograms of hashish, 13 stolen mobiles and 25 stolen vehicles, including 2 cars and 23 motorcycles.
