An additional district and sessions Judge (AD&SJ) granted interim bail to three schoolgirls until January 30th. The girls were involved in torturing their classmate at a private school in the defence area.
AD&SJ Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal presided over the proceedings on the bail applications of the suspects on Saturday. The petitioners’ counsel argued before the court that police registered a false and fabricated a case against his clients. He added that his clients wanted to join the investigations to prove their innocence and pleaded before the court to grant bail to his clients.
The court, after hearing arguments from the petitioners’ counsel, granted interim bail to the suspects until January 30th. The court additionally sought a report from the police on the next date of hearing.
Defence-A police registered a case against the suspects under section 337A, 354 and 379 of the Pakistan Penal Code upon the complaint of victim’s father, Imran Younas. The complainant stated that his daughter was tortured and humiliated by three of her classmates.
