Lawyers hold strike against Afridi’s murder

The lawyers community under the umbrella of Bar Associations Attock, Pindibheg, Fatehjang, Jand, Hassanabadal held strike on Tuesday to lodge their strong protests over the killing of former President Supreme Court of Pakistan Latif Afridi (Lala Latif) in Peshawar High Court Bar Room and General Secretary, Rawalpindi Bar Association Mr. Imran Sheikh in Rawalpindi on January 16,2023 in the recent wave of target killings in the country.

All courts of the lower judiciary remained deserted look while only cases of urgent in nature like bail or stay matters were fixed to be heard by some duty judicial officers. The aggrieved people came across the district have to face great hardship when the judicial system was interrupted till the closing hours.

The enraged lawyers while expressing their complete solidarity with the bereaved families of their deceased have also demanded of the present Government to award exemplary punishments to their killers.
