Islamabad capital police Shahzad Town police station team arrested four wanted criminals and recovered weapons from their possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of
Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directives, the Shahzad Town police used the latest technology and human resources and succeeded in apprehending four wanted criminals. The accused were identified as Nadeem Qureshi, Shoaib Rafique, Nabeel and Usman Ali. The accused have previous criminal records also. Police team also recovered two 30 bore pistols and 12 bore gun from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons.—NNI
