A delegation of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) held a special meeting with Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam udho. The delegation included Central Information Secretary Muhammad Aslam Ghori, Deputy Ameer of Sindh Province Maulana Abdul Karim Abid, Maulana Noorul Haq, Maulana Dawood, Maulana Ataul Haque Abid, Maqsood Ali Khan, Abdul Halim Abid and others.
The delegation had a detailed discussion regarding the worsening law and order situation in Karachi and transparent local body elections.The central spokesperson demanded the CCPO to deploy a special force to maintain peace during the local elections. While polling staff, delivery of ballot papers to the polling station, counting of votes and return of ballot papers to the RO office also emphasized on ensuring security.
Maulana Abdul Karim Abid while talking to the CCPO said that there are concerns over the increase in serious crimes including street crime in Karachi for the past several months. The criminals roaming on the streets of Karachi have made life miserable for the citizens, the armed people on the streets and roads of the city are openly robbing the citizens at gunpoint while the law enforcement agencies are in charge of this whole situation.
