The seventeen 7 th convocation of Riphah International University was held at the convention center Islamabad .Riphah International University is the only university, which is organizing the education and training of male and female students based on Islamic ethical values. For this purpose, Riphah has set some values as a guiding light for him. Al-Akhira, Itteqan, Rahma, Mushawra, Ijtemahiya and Mohasiba are the values that Riphah adheres to as its basic values and I want to assure you today that you can become a good doctor and a good engineer in professional life only by applying these values.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anees Ahmed expressed these views during his speech at the seventeenth convocation of Riphah International University. He congratulated the newly graduates and advised them to serve the nation and play a positive role in this regard. Addressing the convocation ceremony, Chancellor Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan said that today is a day of pride and gratitude not only for the students but also for their parents and teachers because no student is successful only because of hard work, until the sacrifices of his/her parents and the commitments of his/her teachers are involved. He congratulated the students who received medals and degrees and wished them all the best.
Furthermore, Hassan Muhammad Khan reiterated his determination that RiphahInternational University will continue to play its constructive role in the development of Pakistan, and we will continue our services in the field of education without discrimination. Pakistan has to create new knowledge along with the dissemination of traditional knowledge to achieve higher grounds in a competitive world, said Chairperson HECDr.Shaista while addressing the 17th Convocation Ceremony of Riphah International University.
Greeting the newly graduating students the chairperson of Higher Education Commission, Dr. Shaista said that the development of quality human resource is a way towards the development of the country. While living in the age of globalization the programs offered in a university must not be limited to the local needs only, she said. Dr. Shaista said that higher education programs should be able to face a world beyond frontiers and it is good to learn that Riphah International University has already established its footprint outside Pakistan and that too with the best faculty, structure, and systems to support its mission. She also appreciated the utilization of these resources by Riphah International University to teach and train socially sensitive, and globally competitive human capital.
